Weibull Data Points Pane for a Parametric Life Data Set
When a parametric life data set is selected in the LDA Navigator, you supply the data to analyze in the Weibull Data Points pane. The table columns shown in this pane depend on the status of Suspensions and Groups. Additionally, for the five distributions where Competing Failure Modes can be the model selected in the data set’s Weibull Parameters pane, the Group Name column precedes all other columns. In this case, you must fill in this column for each data point. For more information, see Competing Failure Modes.
*
In both this module and the ALT module, you can change, reset, and save data point column names. For more information, see Changing the Names of Data Point Columns.
The following table describes the columns that are shown for each data type given the status of Suspensions and Groups. For exact times and interval data types, you can enter 0 for the time of failure if the distribution/model combination selected is other than Weibull/Three Parameters or Exponential/Two Parameters.

Time. Supplies the time values to plot on the x-axis of the probability plot.
Failure Probability. Supplies the failure probability values to plot on the y-axis of the probability plot.
If the data already exists in an electronic file, you can copy it from this file and paste it into the table. Additionally, you can use the Import Wizard to import data into the table.
When you use the standard Windows copy-and-paste technique, the new data points are inserted at the end of the table.
When you use the Import Wizard to import data into the table, you must specify whether the new data points are inserted in a new data set or added to an existing data set. For more information, see Importing Data into a Weibull Data Set.
If you do not have data available, you can generate a random data set. For more information, see Generating Random Data Points for a Data Set.
