When analysis of a data set is distribution-based, you can perform best fit distribution analysis to determine which distribution best fits its data points. For the Weibull module, the analysis of a parametric life data set or a warranty data set is distribution-based. For the ALT module, the analysis of an ALT life data set is distribution-based.
