Two-Unit Series System
Assume a series system consists of two components with constant hazard rates connected in series.

The reliability curve follows the standard exponential decay as shown in the following graph.
Using the above method, the failure rate is calculated as shown in the following graph. You can see that the hazard rate is constant over time.
