Viewing the Cause of an Overstressed Part
You can view the cause of an overstressed part in the
Pi Factors window. By default, an overstressed part is highlighted in red type in the
System Tree Items table and
Parts Table. In the
Options window, > in which to display overstressed parts. For more information, see
Prediction User Options.
1. In the System Tree Items table or Parts Table, select the overstressed part.
2. In the
Prediction Data pane, click
Pi Factors. The
Pi Factors window opens. The cause of the overstress is shown beneath the failure rate calculated for the part. For more information, see
Part Pi Factors.
You can generate an Overstress Parts report and an Operating Stress report using the supplied Report Design files, Prediction Overstressed Parts and Prediction Operating Stress, which are in the Common Library by default.
