Prediction Defaults File Overview

The Project’s Prediction Defaults file stores the custom values to use as the defaults for various parts and calculation model when part parameters are left blank or display # signs. This file can contain records only for parts with a General part classification. Default records are not supported for parts with any other part classification. The following table describes the panes that appear in this file.

Pane	Description
Parts List	Displays the Parts Table. You use this table to view and insert records with custom default values for various parts. For more information, see Parts List Pane.
[Prediction Parts Forms]	Displays panes for all Prediction Parts forms enabled in the Project so that you can specify part data for the record selected in the Parts List pane. For more information, see Prediction Parts Forms.

Under Prediction in the properties for the Prediction Defaults file, you specify the model and Telcordia calculation method for which to enter part data. Your selections affect the options available on Prediction Parts forms. For more information, see Prediction Support File Properties.
