FIDES Process Grade Scoring
The top of the Prediction FIDES Process Grade file provides display-only scoring results. The following table provides a description of these results. For more information about how these results are calculated, see the FIDES standards.
Option
Description
The Section result fields show calculated values for the process grade factor selected for Section, which is directly above them.
Section Scale Factor
The value by which to multiply the Raw Points value to obtain the Weighted Points value for the questions for this section.
Section Audit Grade
The sum of Weighted Points values for all questions in this section with a specified compliance level.
Section Max Grade
The maximum number of Weighted Points values for all questions in this section with a specified compliance level.
The result fields to the left of the Section results show calculate values for the entire Prediction FIDES Process Grade file.
Pi Process
The equation for the Pi process (∏Process) follows:
Where δ2 determines the process factor range.
Because the FIDES standards indicate that this value is set to 2.079, the range for the Pi process factor is from 1 to 8. Based on the values assigned in the default Prediction FIDES Process Grade file, the Pi process factor is 3.999, which is rounded to 4. This value reflects average manufacturing processes or conditions.
Process Grade
The Total Audit Grade value divided by the Total Max Grade value.
Total Audit Grade
The sum of Weighted Points values for all questions in all sections with a specified compliance level.
Total Max Grade
The maximum number of Weighted Points values for all questions in all sections with a specified compliance level.
