FIDES Process Grade File Versions
The Prediction FIDES Process Grade file for a FIDES 2009 model differs slightly from the one for the FIDES 2004 model. For FIDES process grade version, which is shown in the upper right corner of this file, you select which version to display.
If you answer the questions for one version and then change the selection for FIDES process grade version, the questions that are the same for both versions are still answered. This means that you then have to answer only the questions specific to the newly selected version.
*
When only minor text variations exist between the questions for the two versions, they are considered to be the same question.
The major differences are that the file for the FIDES 2009 version makes the following visible:
An Equipment Integration choice is available for Section in the FIDES Process Grade pane.
Further description is available in the FIDES Process Grade Details pane.
The phase contributions attributed to each section are saved and applied per version. For more information, see FIDES Process Grade Sections.
The calculation equations for the two versions are the same. However, because the FIDES 2009 version has additional questions, the results for it differ from those for the FIDES 2004 version. When you run calculations, the FIDES model selected for the top assembly in the System file determines the Pi process factor that is used, regardless of the version that is chosen in its inherited or specified FIDES Process Grade file. For example, if the FIDES 2009 model is selected, from the inherited or specified FIDES Process Grade file, the Pi process factor for the FIDES 2009 version is used, even if the FIDES 2004 version is currently selected in this file.
If you report on or export data from a FIDES Process Grade file, the values and text for the version selected in the file are used. To import data into a Prediction FIDES Process Grade file, you must include Question Identifier so that values and text for a FIDES version are imported correctly.
