The Change List page is displayed by the Global Change Wizard when a field to update has a list assigned. If the assigned list is invalid or cannot be changed, Set to is made unavailable and Step becomes the default.

If Step is selected and the original value is blank, the choice that you make in the Select Blank Action page for this field determines if the value is set to a specified step or if it remains blank.

Because different models have different Quality fields, if < Any model >, < Any Category >, or < Any Subcategory > is selected on the Select Part Type page, Step is the only available option.

The lists for some fields, such as Quality, can have user-defined values. If a a user-defined value is stored in a record, that record cannot have its list choice changed by the specified step. For such a record, any step changes are ignored.
