Bayesian Data Pane
The following table describes the options in the Bayesian Data pane. These same options are shown in the Add Bayesian Data window, which opens when you click < Click here to insert a new record > in the last table row. For more information, see Entering Test or Field Data in a Prediction Bayesian File.
Option
Description
Experience Name
The unique name to assign to the field or test data for the assembly.
Experience Type
The type of data collected. Choices are Dormant (default), Field, Highly Accelerated Stress Test, Operating Life, Power Cycling, Storage, and Temperature Cycling. The choice you make here does not affect calculations but is for informational purposes only.
Field Failures
The number of failures experienced during the test or when operating in the field. You can enter any numeric value greater than or equal to 0. The default is 0.
Hours On Test
The time interval for the test or operational period for which failures were recorded.
Compute Accelerated Hours
Indicates whether to perform accelerated hour computations. When this checkbox is cleared (default), accelerated hours are not computed. When this checkbox is selected, the Bayesian Test Environment pane becomes available so that the total test hours in accelerated conditions can be converted to an equivalent number of field hours under actual field stresses. For more information, see Bayesian Test Environment Pane.
