Add Task Window
The Add Task window provides for inserting a task in the Maintainability Task Library file. The following table describes the options in this window. For more information, see Inserting a Task.
Option
Description
Task code
The unique code to assign to the task and display on the Tasks tab. For more information, see Codes.
Description
Information about the task.
Repair type
The type of repair associated with the task. Choices are Corrective, False Alarm, and Preventive. The selection you make here determines the calculations in which the task is used. The default is Corrective. For more information, see Repair Types.
Preventive frequency
The frequency of occurrence for preventive maintenance actions. This option is available only when Preventive is selected for Repair type. The default for a new preventive task is 0. The units are the same as the units used for failure rates. For example, if 1,000,000, is specified as the failure rate multiplier, the frequency of occurrence of preventive maintenance actions is also specified in units per million failures. The value entered is used in MMH/OH, MMH/FH, and mean preventive maintenance time calculations. For more information, see Maintainability Calculations.
Repair time
The time required to complete the task. The value must be equal to or greater than 0. The default is 0.
Number of persons
The total number of maintenance technicians required to complete the repair task. This value is multiplied by the repair time to find the total time for the selected task. The value must be equal to or greater than 1.
MTTR element
The portion of the repair to which the task is related. Choices are: Preparation, Fault Isolation, Disassembly, Interchange, Reassembly, Alignment, Checkout, and Start-Up. The total repair times assigned to each MTTR element appear in the maintainability calculation. For more information, see Time Results for MTTR Elements.
