Variables Table
In the upper area of the Variables pane, a table lists the variables that are inserted in the LCC Variables file. The following table provides column descriptions.
Column
Description
Variable Name
The name of the variable. The name must begin with an alphabetic character. It can contain only alphabetic and numeric characters and underscores. The name cannot contain any spaces.
Variable Type
Specifies how the variable values are recorded. Choices for the variable type are:
• Constant. When selected (default), Value appears. In this field, you enter the variable value to use across all calculations.
• Varies over Alternatives. When selected, a two-column table appears for indicating the value to use for each alternative.
• Varies Over Alternatives & Time Intervals. When selected, a three-column table appears for indicating the value to use for each interval/alternative combination.
• Varies over Time Intervals. When selected, a two-column table appears for indicating the value to use for each time interval in the Variables pane.
The variable type choice affects the parameters that appear in the lower area of this pane. For more information, see Variable Data.
