In a System file, events can be linked to items in other modules or be repeated repeated events. The following table describes how data links and repeated events are handled when you insert a fault tree or branch into an FTA Diagram Library file.

Event Status in System File	Behavior During Insertion into FTA Diagram Library File
Has a data link	The data link is removed from the event before inserting it into the FTA Diagram Library file. In addition, the properties assigned to this linked event are copied into the new record in the library file and its parameter definition is set to User defined.
Is a repeat	If the event is repeated in a branch other than the one being placed into the FTA Diagram Library file, the Repeat of designation is removed from the branch. If the event is repeated in that same branch, the Repeat of designation is retained for the repeated events.
