FTA Event Library Files
FTA Event Library files store fault tree events for reuse in multiple System files. You can insert any type of event but a conditional event in these library files. To insert an event stored in an FTA Event Library file library file into a System file, you search for and retrieve it using the Library Browse window.
FTA Event Library files are especially beneficial when you use the FTA module for quantitative analysis because you can define the desired calculation properties for the events you want to reuse and then easily insert them in any number of System files in the Project.
The following table describes the two panes in the FTA Event Library file.
Pane
Description
Event Table
Displays a table listing all events inserted in the FTA Event Library file. The columns in this table are identical to those in the table in for the System file. For more information, see FTA Table Pane. Clicking < Click here to insert a new record > in the last row inserts an event in this Library file. For more information, see Inserting an Event Directly in an FTA Event Library File.
Event Parameters
Displays a preview of the event selected in the Event Table. The preview shows the description and calculation parameters, regardless of the display fields selected in the Project’s FTA Style file. For more information, see FTA Style Files. Clicking Edit Calculation Properties opens the event’s Properties window. When viewing properties for a library event, the Properties window does not display a navigation control. For more information, see Gate or Event Properties.
