FTA CCF Groups File Overview
The FTA CCF Groups file stores the CCF groups to use in common cause analysis. It is a singular support file, which means that only one occurrence of this file type can exist in the Project.
The FTA CCF Groups file has two panes in which you enter CCF groups and specify the characteristics associated with each group. The following table describes these panes.
Pane
Description
CCF Groups
Displays a table listing the CCF groups inserted in the FTA CCF Groups file. For more information, see CCF Groups Pane.
CCF Group Parameters
Displays the data specified for the CCF group selected in the CCF Groups pane. For more information, see CCF Group Parameters Pane.
You need to insert CCF groups in the FTA CCF Groups file only if you are performing common cause analysis. When you insert CCF groups in this file, CCF Group becomes available on the Data Source page in an event’s Properties window so that you can select a CCF group as the parameter definition. For more information, see Data Source Page.
When you select CCF Group, the field to its right becomes available so that you can select a CCF group from those in the Project’s FTA CCF Groups file. The first group in this file is selected by default. In the System file, you can view CCF Group assignments in the FTA CFF Table. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying CCF Groups in the FTA CCF Table.
