Calculating FTA Results
Calculating FTA results consists of making the appropriate selections and then starting the process.
1. In the FTA Table, select the top gate for the fault tree to calculate.
2. To open the Calculate window, do one of the following:
◦ On the standard toolbar, click Calculate.
◦ Select > .
◦ Press F8.
3. On the Calculation Selection page, select FTA. If this checkbox is cleared, FTA calculations do not run.
5. After entering any additional data for other calculations to perform, click OK to run the requested calculations. Gates that have no inputs are ignored when running calculations.
The
Calculation Progress window opens, displaying progress as the requested calculations run. When the calculations finish, the
View Calculation Results window opens. For more information, see
FTA Calculation Results.
6. When finished viewing results, click Close.
You can view these calculation results again at any time by selecting > .
