Showing or Hiding the Causes Table in the FMEA Modes Library File
In the FMEA Modes Library file, you can show or hide the Causes table. By default, this table is hidden. However, to insert multiple causes per failure mode, you must show this pane. In the properties for the FMEA Modes Library file, General > Display Causes controls whether the Causes table is hidden or shown.
1. If the FMEA Modes Library file is not already open, then open it.
2. Select View > File Properties. The File Properties window for this file opens.
3. To switch between showing and hiding the Causes table, select General > Display Causes. When this checkbox is selected, the table is shown. When it is cleared, the table is hidden.
Hiding the Causes tables does not delete the causes that are inserted in it. It simply turns it off so that it is not shown in the FMEA Modes Library file.
4. When finished, close the FMEA Modes Library file.
You can now insert multiple causes per failure mode. For more information, see Inserting Multiple Causes for a Failure Mode.
