Inserting DVPs from FMEA Records or Global Attributes
From FMEA Tree Items, FMEA Worksheet, or Global Attributes records, you can insert control plans that are automatically associated with the records from you created them.
1. From the record that you want to associate with a new DVP, click the special field for associations.
In the FMEA Tree Items or FMEA Worksheet table, click DVPs.
In the Global Attributes table, click FMEA DVPs.
A browse button becomes available.
2. Click the browse button. The Associated FMEA DVPs window opens, displaying a table with all existing control plans. Associated is selected for DVPs that are already associated with the record.
3. In the last table row, click < Click here to insert a new record >.
A new record is inserted in both this table and the FMEA DVPs table. In this table, Associated is automatically selected.
4. Enter data for the DVP.
5. If you want to insert additional DVPs, repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. When finished, click Close. You return to the record from which you opened the Associated FMEA DVPs window.
The special field for associations is updated to display the number of DVPs that are now associated with the record. Periodically, in the FMEA DVPs table, you would want to complete any blank fields for DVPs inserted from the Associated FMEA DVPs window.
