How to Select the Default Risk Matrix Settings
In the Project’s FMEA Risk Matrix file, you select default risk matrix definitions for each type of FMEA.
1. Select View > Default Risk Matrix Settings. The Default Risk Matrix Settings window opens, displaying a table with six rows.
These rows define an initial and a resulting risk matrix definition for each of the three FMEA types: Process, Functional, and Component.
The first column, FMEA Type, is display-only. Initially, the default for the second column, FMEA Risk Matrix, is < No Risk Matrix > for all six rows. This means that when FMEA calculations run, no risk levels are calculated, and no risk matrices are generated.
2. In the FMEA Risk Matrix column, select the risk matrix definition you want to use for each row from all those definitions inserted in the file.
To do this, click in the column three times. The first click makes the cell active. The second click displays the selection control. The third click displays the list from which you can make a selection.
3. When finished, click OK.
The definitions that you selected in the Default Risk Matrix Settings window are now the defaults. However, you can override the defaults for a specific FMEA in any System file.
