Using the ‘Save As’ Command
You use the Save As command on the File menu to make a copy of an open Team file.
If an Enterprise database file is open, the Save As command is not shown.
If a singular support Team file is open, the Save As command is not shown. When Simplify file inputs is selected (default) under General in the Project properties, Table Format files and the Form Set file are treated as singular support files. For more information, see General Project Properties.
When multiple occurrences of a Team file are permitted, the Save As command is available.
1. Select File > Save As. A confirmation window opens, indicating that this command makes a copy of the current file.
If you wanted a copy of the original file, before any changes were made, you would click No. Because a backup of a Team file is automatically created, you can restore and open this automatic backup before proceeding with the next step. For more information, see Restoring a Backup File.
2. To save a copy of the current file, click Yes. The Save File As window opens so that you can supply a name.
3. For Name, type the name to assign the file.
4. Click OK to create and open a copy of the file.
