Results Pane in Icons View
When the Results pane is in the Icons view, icons are shown for each item, with identifying values shown beneath the icons. By default, these images are scaled to 64 pixels by 64 pixels and stored in the database. In this view, the items meeting the search criteria are sorted in ascending order by identifying values. Descriptions of the icons used for each library file type follow.
• For Assembly Library search results, a circuit board image represents the assembly. For identifying values, library identifiers are shown for the assemblies meeting the search criteria.
• For EPRD or NPRD Library search results when an RBD pane is active in the System file, a circuit board image represents the part when it is inserted into a block diagram as a block or component. For identifying values, part numbers are shown for the EPRD or NPRD parts meeting the search criteria.
• For EPRD or NPRD Library search results when a Prediction pane is active in the System file, an electric motor image represents the part when it is inserted into the System Tree Items table or Parts Table. For identifying values, part numbers are shown for the EPRD or NPRD parts meeting the search criteria.
• For FTA or RBD search results, the images to serve as icons are created from the diagrams, using the first page for a multiple-page diagram. The icon image for the diagram is also shown in the Preview pane. When you place the mouse cursor over this icon image, a larger image is shown in a pop-up window. For identifying values, library identifiers are shown for the diagrams meeting the search criteria.
• For FTA event or RBD block search results, the images to serve as icons are created from the events or blocks. For identifying values, the library identifiers are shown for the events or blocks meeting the search criteria.
• For RBD maintenance task search results, a toolbox image represents the task. For identifying values, the library identifiers are shown for the tasks meeting the search criteria.
• For Prediction Parts search results, the images defined for part classification/category combinations are used. The FIDES, General, RDF 2000 /IEC, and Siemens part classifications are assigned unique images for each part category. For the FMEA Modes and User-Defined part classifications, the same electric motor image used for NPRD and EPRD parts is used. For identifying values, part numbers are shown for parts meeting the search criteria.
Any time that you modify a record in the following library files, a new image is created and stored for use as the icon: Event Tree, FTA, RBD Block, or RBD Diagram. If you make changes to the Style file that is used by the RBD Block Library file, new images are not created using the modified styles. Images are only created or updated when records are either inserted into or modified in the library file.

For Assembly, FTA Diagram, and RBD Diagram Library search results, you can use the Customize button in the Results pane to specify that a different image be used as the icon for the diagram. For more information, see Customize Button.
