General Page
The following table describes all properties that appear on the General page in the Report Properties window.
Property
Description
Report file type
The type of file on which to report and the associated module, table, and/or object. This property is display-only and is determined when the Report Design file is created.
Description
Optional information about the report. What you enter here does not print on the report. It serves only as a reference.
Filter
The filter that is to limit the table data on which to report. You can choose any filter that is appropriate for this table from those in all enabled Filter files. However, you should select a filter with only selection criteria. For more information, see Filters. To sort and group report data, you should use the Sorting and Grouping window. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying Sorting and Grouping Criteria.

When a filter is selected, you can use the Special Fields window to insert Filter Name and Filter Text in the Report Design file if you want. Filter Name displays the name of the filter, such as Closed Incidents. Filter Text displays the criteria for the filter, such as Closed (FRACAS Incidents) is equal to TRUE. For more information, see Insert Report Object Commands.
Fiscal year end
The month in which your fiscal year ends. The default is December. The value entered is saved to Fiscal year end, which you can insert into the Report Design file using the Special Fields window.
Starting page number
The page number with which to start the report. The default is 1.
Print page headers on each page
Indicates whether the Page Header is printed on each page of the report. When this checkbox is selected (default), the page header prints on each page. When this checkbox is cleared, the Page Header prints on only the first page.
Red-line color
Indicates the color in which to display input values that have changed on the report when red-lining is turned on. The default is red. However, you can change the color. When you click this property, a drop-down control appears. Clicking it opens the same window as clicking the color control. For more information, see Using the Color Control. Because red-lining requires audit trail data, this property is shown only for Enterprise reports. For information about turning red-lining on and off, see Red-Line Options.
