Manually Backing Up a File from the Project Properties Window
You can manually back up a file from the Project Properties window.
1. If the Project is not open in the Project Properties window, then open it. For more information, see Opening a Project in the Project Properties Window.
2. In the Project Properties pane, do one of the following:
Right-click the file and select Back Up File.
Select the file and then select Project > Back Up File.
If the file is a very large System file, a confirmation window opens, indicating that backing this file up can take some time. You must click Yes to continue.
A Backing up file window opens if this action takes more than a few seconds. As the file is copied, the status bar in this window can reset multiple times. The time to completion depends on the amount of data to back up. Clicking Stop in this window cancels the backup procedure.
Once the file is copied, a window opens, indicating that the backup is complete.
3. Click OK to close the window.
In the Project Properties window, you can view information about all backups for a file in the File Backups pane. For more information, see File Backups Pane.

You can also manually back up files from the Project Navigator. For more information, see Manually Backing Up a File from the Project Navigator.
