Logging In to the Enterprise Edition
In the Enterprise Edition, the Log In to Windchill Risk and Reliability window opens prior to its startup. If you do not want to log in, you can click the Quit button
*
If your user account information is loaded from a Microsoft Active Directory (AD) server, it is possible for you to be automatically logged in. For this to occur, a system administrator must select Enable single sign-on in the Options window in the Administrator application.
1. For User name, enter the user name for your account.
2. For Password, enter the password for your account if one is required. All passwords are case-sensitive.
3. If you want to save the entered account information for subsequent logins, select the Remember my log-in information checkbox.
When this checkbox is selected, the next time you start a Windchill Risk and Reliability application, this account information is the default so that you need only to click OK to log in to it successfully.
4. When finished, click OK. An attempt is made to validate the entered user name and password.
If the user name or password is invalid, an error message indicates why the log-in attempt failed. When you click OK to acknowledge this message, you are given additional log-in attempts.
In the Options window in the Administrator application, Lock user account after X successive log-in failures and Re-enable locked user account after X minutes are global options set by your system administrator. If you have a maximum number of successive log-in failures and you reach this limit, a warning message indicates that your account is locked. If a number of minutes is specified for unlocking the account, you can wait for this period to expire. Otherwise, it might be necessary for you to ask your system administrator to unlock your account manually.
Depending on your settings, the Group Selection window, Select Modules to License window, and/or Modules Selection window can open.
The Group Selection window opens only if you are assigned to more than one user group. Because each group has its own set of permissions, it is important that you select a group having permissions for the tasks that you want to perform in this session. If you select the Remember my group selection checkbox prior to clicking OK, the group you have selected becomes the default for the next time you start a Windchill Risk and Reliability application.
The Select Modules to License window opens only if Select modules to license during login is selected by your administrator in the Options window in the Administrator application. When this checkbox is selected, you must select the modules you want to license for this session from all modules to which your group has acquirement rights and then click OK. By not licensing a module that you do not intend to use, you leave the license available to another user.
The Modules Selection window opens unless you have turned it off. In this window, you select the one or more licensed modules you want to use and click OK. For more information, see Product Module Selections.
After you have supplied all necessary information, Windchill Risk and Reliability starts and displays the Start page. For more information, see Start Page Window.

To change your user account, click Change Log-in, which appears in the upper right corner of the Start page. Or, use the Change Log-in command. For more information, see Changing the Log-In Account. Once you are logged out, the Log In to Windchill Risk and Reliability window opens so that you can log back in using a different account.
