Identifiers Support File Properties
The following table describes the Identifier properties that appear under Identifiers. This heading appears only when the properties for the following types of library files are being viewed: Assembly, FTA Diagram, FTA Event, RBD Diagram, and RBD Block. The properties shown depend on the file type.
Property
Description
Table/Object Identifier
The format for the unique identifier to assign to a table record or diagram object. The Setting column displays a sample of what the identifier looks like as currently configured. For example, for an Assembly Library file, if the System1 default is used for System Tree Item Identifier for an Assembly Library file, the first assembly directly inserted in this file is assigned an identifier of System1. Because the number in the identifier is increased by a value of 1 by default, the second assembly directly inserted in this file is assigned an identifier of System2. The value to assign to the next item or object inserted is shown in the settings for the identifier. To view these settings, click the Setting column, click the browse button that appears, and look at the value for Next ID. For more information, see Configuring Identifiers for Table Records or Diagram Objects.
