Generating an Alert History Report
From the History pane in the Alert file, you can generate a Microsoft Access or Excel file that reports on the information in this pane.
1. If the Alert file is not already open, then open it. You open this file in the same way as any other file.
2. To report on a single alert, select that alert in the Alerts pane.
3. Select Tools > Report Alert History. The Create Alert History Report File window opens.
4. If you want to report on only the selected alert, ensure that the Only report history of the currently selected Alert checkbox is selected (default). To report on all alerts, clear this checkbox.
5. For Report file, specify the name and location for this file.
By default, a Microsoft Access 2000 file is created in the My Windchill Risk and Reliability Files folder for the current installation. The name for this file is System Name Alert - Alert History.mdb.
You can use the browse button for Report file to open the Save As window. In it, you can select a different folder and enter a different file name. You can also use Save as type to specify whether you want to create a Microsoft Access 2000 or Excel 97/2000/XP file.
6. When finished, click OK. After the file is created, you can open it in the appropriate application.
