Creating a Tryout Project
You use the New Tryout Project command to create a Tryout Project, which is always a local Team Project, even in the Enterprise Edition. Tryout Projects are created in your My Windchill Risk and Reliability Files folder for the current installation. Creating or opening a Tryout Project places you in the Tryout mode, where you can easily try out modules that are not included in your license within the data limitations imposed on the Tryout version. For more information, see Tryout Version and Mode.
1. Select File > New Tryout Project. The Create Tryout Project window opens.
2. Complete this window. For more information, see Create Project Window.
3. When finished, click OK to create the Tryout Project and its default set of files.
When Windchill Risk and Reliability is running in the Tryout mode, the New Project Wizard allows you to select only another Tryout Project as a template for the new Tryout Project. Similarly, you can copy only files from other Tryout Projects into an Tryout Project.
A Tryout designation appears in the status bar as long as the Tryout Project is open.

When you next open or create a a standard Project, you are placed in the license mode. Any Tryout Project that you created can then be copied into a standard Project. For more information, see Copying Files from Another Project into the Project Open in the Project Properties Window.
