Create Support File Window
When you try to save a filter to your My Filter file, a check is first performed to see if this file exists. If it exists, the filter is saved to this personal Filter file and then applied. If this filed does not exist, the Create Support File window opens so that you can create it.
By default, your Personal filter file, which is named My Filters.rfl, is created in your computer’s folder for your personal settings:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\PTC\Windchill Risk and Reliability\VERSION
In this path, USERNAME is your Windows user name. You can use the browse button for File name to open the Open window, where you can navigate to a different folder and enter a different file name for this local file. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
Once the Create Support File window displays the appropriate folder and file information, you click Yes to create your My Filter file. To quickly open your My Filter file from the Project Navigator, you click the My Filter File option.
The directory path to your My Filter file is stored in My Filter File under General in the Options window. For more information, see General User Options. If you clear the path specified for this option and later try to save a filter to your My Filter file, the Create Support File window opens. However, before creating a new My Filter file, a window opens for choosing whether you want to overwrite or use your existing My Filter file. For more information, see Overwrite Window.
You can save a filter from either the filter bar or the Filter Wizard. For more information, see:
