The Build Alert pane provides for specifying the alert type and any further filter criteria for the alert selected in the Alerts pane. To build an alert, you begin by making a selection for Alert type. The options for building this type of alert are then shown. For descriptions of all alert types, see Alert Types.

Under Criteria, you use the tool buttons provided to build the criteria for the alert. These same buttons are shown in the Build Filter pane of the Filter file. For descriptions, see Build Criteria Tool Buttons.
