Assembly Preview
When assembly search results are shown in the Library Browse window, the Preview pane displays an hierarchical tree, showing the assembly as well as any child assemblies and parts. The following table describes the data fields that appear in the Preview pane by default. The fields shown are those specified in the Table Format file for the System Tree Items table in the Assembly Library file. You can open the Assembly Library file and use the Format Builder to customize the fields that are shown. For more information, see Using the Format Builder to Modify an Enabled Table.

The identifier for systematically recognizing the assembly. For example, the reference designator for the top-most assembly (system) might be S1 and those for other assemblies might be A1, A2, and so on.

Because the data shown in the Preview pane is display-only, to make changes to these field values, you must open the Assembly Library file in which assemblies are stored and then change the values there. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying the Properties for an Assembly in an Assembly Library File. Once you insert a library assembly into a System file, you can modify the assembly and/or part values for that instance in the panes shown in the System file.
