Files of this type from prior releases are converted to the format described in FTA Event Library Files. During file conversion, each record is designated as a basic event. The event’s Code value in the prior file format is then assigned as its identifier in the new file format. During System file conversion, the values for a linked library event are copied into the System file and then the link is removed. If a linked library event cannot be found, default values are used for the event.

Any CCF (common cause failure) record that is linked to an event in a Fault Tree Event Library file from a prior release is updated with data for that library event. The link is then removed.
