ALT Data Set Folders
When you select Accelerated Life Testing under Analysis type in the LDA Navigator, four top-level folders appear under Data sets: Life Data, Stress Profiles, Accelerated Test Plans, and Multiple Data Sets Plots. Descriptions of how you use these top-level folders follow.
Under the top-level folder named Life Data, you insert ALT data sets. You then analyze these data sets based on life stress models and underlying distributions. The default name for a newly inserted data set under this folder is ALT Data Set.
Under the top-level folder named Stress Profiles, you insert special data sets that are referred to as stress profiles. Stress profiles specify how stress levels vary with time. No calculations run on stress profiles. Once you enter start times, end times, and stress levels in the ALT Data Points pane for a stress profile, the ALT Plot pane displays a plot of this data. You assign stress profiles to time-varying stresses. The default name for a newly inserted data set under this folder is Stress Profile. For more information, see Stress Profiles.
Under the top-level folder named Accelerated Test Plans, you insert special data sets for evaluating test plans. The default name for a newly inserted data set under this folder is Accelerated Test Plan. For more information, see Accelerated Test Plans.
Under the top-level folder named Multiple Data Sets Plots, you insert special data sets for plotting multiple ALT data sets simultaneously. The default name for a newly inserted data set under this folder is Multiple Data Set Plot. For more information, see Multiple Data Set Plots for ALT Analysis.
