NOT GateThe NOT gate is used to indicate that the output occurs when the input event does not occur. The presence of a NOT gate may give rise to non-coherent trees, where the non-occurrence of an event causes the top event to occur. There is only one input to a NOT gate.
Logic Summary
The output is the opposite of the input gate or event. Table 5-6 shows the input and output events for a NOT gate.
