Changing the Password for the Windchill Risk and Reliability Database
You can change the password for the Windchill Risk and Reliability database from the Databases area.
1. If the Databases area is not active, click the Databases icon in the shortcut bar.
2. In the Databases pane, select the Windchill Risk and Reliability database.
3. In the Database Properties pane, click Change Password. The next step depends on the database selected.
◦ If a secondary database is selected, the Change Database Password window opens. Go to step 5.
◦ If the initial Windchill Risk and Reliability database is selected, a window opens, indicating that if you change the password on the configurations database, you must perform three additional steps, which are listed. Go to step 4.
4. If the confirmation window opens for changing the password, do one of the following:
◦ If you are unsure whether to continue, click Cancel. If you determine that you do want to change this password, you can perform this procedure then.
◦ If you are sure you want to change this password, click OK. The Change Database Password window opens.
In this window, you enter the user account information that allows
Windchill Risk and Reliability applications to access the data in the
Windchill Risk and Reliability database. For option descriptions, see
Change Database User Password Window.
5. Enter this user account information and click OK.
If the window has been completed appropriately, the new password is set. Otherwise, a window opens, indicating the problem encountered. After you click OK to close the window, repeat step 5 until the new password is set.
