Image | Status | Description |
---|---|---|
Checked out by you | Indicates you have an iteration of the object checked out, that is, you are making modifications with the intent of checking in an updated iteration of the object. | |
Iteration is checked out by another user | Indicates that someone else has an iteration of the object checked out. | |
A different iteration is checked out | Indicates that another user has a different iteration of the same object checked out. | |
A different iteration is checked out by you | Indicates that you have a different iteration of the same object checked out. | |
Pending change | (Windchill PDMLink only) Indicates that a revision has been proposed to a released version of the object. The pending change indicator provides advanced warning, so that proper planning can take place. | |
Checked out to a project | (Windchill PDMLink or Arbortext Content Manager only) Indicates that the object has been checked out to a project from PDM, resulting in the creation of a project-specific version of the object. Objects checked out to a project can still be modified in PDM. | |
Checked-out from PDM | (Windchill ProjectLink only) Indicates that the object has been checked out from PDM to the project, such as during the Add to Project operation. Objects checked out from PDM are locked in their original location, and a project-specific version of the object is created in the project. | |
Shared from PDM | (Windchill ProjectLink only) Indicates that the object is being shared from PDM. Shared objects are readable in the project and are viewable by members of that project. | |
Shared to ProjectLink | (Windchill PDMLink or Arbortext Content Manager only) Indicates that the object is being shared with a project. When an object is shared to a project, the owner of that object can still modify it within PDM. |
On the information page of a non-latest iteration, there is a Go to Latest link to the left of the Actions menu that takes you to the information page of the latest iteration. |
The availability of these options depends on the status of the object as well as your access to it. For example, if an object is checked-out, the Check Out action is not available, but Check In and Undo Check Out appear in the actions list. |

Administrators may have modified the tabs that are viewable to you. |
Tab | Description |
---|---|
Details | Contains some basic information about the CAD document, including a thumbnail graphic and object attributes, according to the layouts specified at your site. Typically, the Details tab lists system attributes. See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill. |
Structure | The Structure tab on an assembly CAD document’s information page presents a view of CAD structure that comprises the assembly and actions for investigating and editing that structure. For more information, see Viewing Structure Information. |
Content | Displays tables listing the primary content, attachments (secondary content), and any representations or annotations of the CAD document. |
Related Objects | Displays tables that list other objects that the current CAD document is related to. For more information, see Related Objects Information Tables. By default, the following tables can appear: • Where Used—Lists the current CAD document and any parent assemblies in which it is a member. For more information, see Viewing Where Used Information • Related Parts—Displays part objects associated to the CAD document and indicates the association type • References—Lists other CAD or dynamic documents that the CAD document references • Referenced By—Lists other CAD or dynamic documents that the CAD document is referenced by • Source and Image — Lists source and image files (for example, Translated Image Models or TIMs) that are related to the CAD document by using heterogeneous design. For more information, see Source and Image CAD or Dynamic Documents. • Distribution Targets: Lists the distribution targets the CAD document can be published to. |
Changes | (Available for changeable objects, when change management is enabled). Displays the Associated Changes table that provides information regarding any change processes in which the CAD document is involved: |
Traceability | Available if: • Windchill Requirements Management Requirements Management is installed • The preference Show Traceability Tab is set to Yes. When set to No, the default, this tab is hidden. The Traceability tab by default displays the following tables: ◦ Upstream Traceability ◦ Downstream Traceability |

When viewing an information page in the embedded browser in Creo Parametric or the Windchill Workgroup Manager, a Creo View WebGL Viewer viewable of a CAD document is displayed. Creo View WebGL Viewer installation is required to display the thumbnail image from the embedded browser. If Creo View WebGL Viewer is not installed, instead of an image, a link to the Creo View WebGL Viewer installation utility is provided in the viewing area. |
• The Creo View WebGL Viewer renders a viewable only if the CAD document has a default representation. If there is no representation on the CAD document, the preview area is blank. • If a representation is not available, then a publish job is created to generate a representation of checked-out and new models. |
A shared object has additional primary attributes, as follows: • PDM Checkout Status—Whether the object is checked-out from PDM. • Checkout PDM Version—Version of the object checked-out from PDM • Resulting PDM Version— Version of the object when sent to PDM from a project |
