To use Classification search, Windchill PartsLink must be installed with your Windchill PDMLink. You can access Classification Search from the Search page. You can access Classification search from the Search menu on top-right corner of the Windchill screen. The Classification Search page opens in the main content area.

When a manufacturer or vendor part is classified in Windchill PartsLink, the Part Type attribute is published with that part. The Part Type attribute allows you to limit Classification search to a particular part type, OEM part, manufacturer part or vendor part.

When browsing for a part in Windchill PartsLink, OEM parts and regular Windchill parts are included by default. You can filter the part list by selecting the checkbox for Part, Manufacturer Part, or Vendor Part.

The results table shows the Sourcing Context field for which sourcing status values are displayed. The order of the columns in the results table is configured by the administrator.
