Security Labels Table
The Security Labels table is available from the following locations:
On the Set Security Labels step when creating certain objects. For more information, see Setting Security Labels while Creating Objects.
From the Edit Security Labels action when launched for a single object that does not have related objects (such as a defect or change notice) or, in some cases, for objects that cannot be iterated or revised. For more information, see Edit Security Labels — Single Object.
From the Edit Attribute Values action, available from the Object List table on the Edit Security Labels page. For more information, see Editing Attribute Values for Security Labels.
From the Set Security Labels step or the Edit Security Labels action
The Security Labels table contains a row for each security label defined for your site, as well as the value for each security label that is set for the object.
The default security label values can be set by object type when the object is created by defining object initialization rules. For more information, see Setting Security Labels Using Object Initialization Rules.
You can update the security label values in the following ways:
Selecting a new value from the drop-down list (for standard security labels)
Entering a new value in the text box (for custom security labels)
*
Use care when setting security label values on an object. You can change the security label value to a value that restricts you from later accessing the object. For information on who can change a security label value once an object is created, see Viewing and Setting Security Labels on Existing Objects.
Click the view security label information icon next to a security label to view a description of the security label and information about each of its values.
From the Edit Attribute Values action
The Security Labels table contains a row for each security label defined for your site, as well as the value for each security label that is set for the object. You can click the view security label information icon next to a security label to view a description of the security label and information about each of its values.
You can update the security label values for all selected objects by selecting the radio button next to the drop-down list or text box. You can then select a new value from the drop-down list (for standard security labels) or type a new value in the text box (for custom security labels). Select the No Change radio button to leave the current security label value settings.
Any changes you make to the security label value settings in the Security Labels table from the Edit Attribute Values action are reflected in the Object List table on the Edit Security Labels window.
