PDM Actions in NX
PDM (Product Data Management) actions are used to manage your CAD data in Windchill. These actions are available from NX, and the Windchill user interface.
When a CAD application is connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager, some PDM actions become active in NX, such as Check In and Check Out.

Windchill Workgroup Manager changes the behavior of some of the native commands in NX, such as Save or Open. For example, when NX is connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager through the WindchillFile System, Open and Save operations default to the Local Workspace.
