Software Build Information Page—Overview Tab
The Overview tab shows four graphical reports simultaneously. The information on this tab is most useful to software managers. It captures the state of a software build in its various aspects. You cannot customize the layout of the individual graphical reports. However, you can customize what to display in the graphical reports. To do so, select a graph type from a list that appears when you click the upper-right corner of each report header. Alternatively, right-click a report on the Overview tab and select the graph type from the shortcut menu. The selected graph type appears as a title for the graphical report. An information table appears when you click an individual bar graph within a graphical report of the defects associated with the software build. Clicking Information in the table opens a page which provides more information about the defect.
Graph Type
Description
State and Priority of Resolved Defects
Reports the state of defects submitted to a software build. The state of the defects is plotted along the x-axis and their priority is plotted along the y-axis.
The information for this report is extracted from the attributes of the defects that are associated with the software build.
File Activity in Build
Reports a percentage of the new, modified, and deleted files in the build. A pie chart illustrates the proportion of the files.
Lines of Code Changed
Reports a percentage of the new, modified, and deleted lines of code. The software configuration management system that is configured with Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software supplies the data.
Summary of Progress
Designates the requirements that were addressed in the software build and the number of defects that were reported in the build.
The requirements and the open defects are plotted along the x-axis and the count is plotted along the y-axis.
Priority of Resolved Defects
Reports the priority of the all defects that were submitted (resolved) with the software build.
Priority is plotted along the x-axis and the count of the resolved defects is plotted along the y-axis.
Click at the top of each graphical report to display it as a table in a new tab. The graph type list is not available for individual graphs that open in new tabs.
You can update the graphical reports periodically by right-clicking individual reports and clicking Refresh All on the shortcut menu.
