Preventing Automatic Synchronization of System Parameter Changes
*
This topic applies only environments that use CGR cache management in CATIA V5.
When you work on a CAD file in CATIA V5, system parameter changes are propagated automatically when the file is loaded by CATIA V5. This can cause performance issues, especially when you work with drawings of large assemblies, which partially load the dependents of the assembly.
To prevent the automatic synchronization of system parameter changes, disable the update.metadata.on.load preference in the wgmclient.ini file. When this preference is set to no, metadata is not updated until a CATIA V5 document is loaded in design mode. For best performance, this preference should be used along with the force.update.metadata.on.open preference set to no.
