Software Configuration Management System Integrations
Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems such as Integrity, Subversion and IBM Rational ClearCase can be integrated with Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
Windchill Integration for Integrity is provided out of the box whenever the software CD is installed. The integration with Integrity provides the ability to directly associate source code files, managed within Integrity, with the rest of the Windchill product information. Users can browse directly into the Integrity source code management system from Windchill and select the appropriate content. The integration also provides the ability for Integrity managed software defects and hardware problem reports to be related to Windchill product information. Users can create, edit, and associate defects in Windchill to the corresponding defect in Integrity.
The Software Configuration Management Systems Integrations component provides customers with the knowledge to install, set up, and use software configuration management systems with Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
The Windchill Integration for Software Build Tools component provides customers with the knowledge to set up and manage the software build process in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.

Installing and configuring the Windchill server and server-side
Windchill application administrators install the server-side installation of Windchill, including Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software. The server core software and optional integrations are installed using the bundled PTC Solution Installer (PSI).
Setting up and managing SCM adapters
Windchill site and organization administrators set up and manage SCM adapters integrated with Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software. Once this process is completed, project managers, product managers, software managers, developers, and other users can access and use the product.
Installing and configuring the SCM system
Users install and configure their SCM system for integration with Windchill. If Subversion, or IBM Rational ClearCase is already installed locally, the user proceeds directly to configure the SCM adapter with Windchill and Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software. Windchill Integration for Integrity can be installed locally (thick client) or via the Web (thin client) for Integrity Source (SCM) adapters. If Integrity is already installed, the user proceeds directly to configure the Integrity Source (SCM) adapter with Windchill and Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
