Updating Multiple Distribution Targets
The Update Distribution Targets feature in the Product Structure Browser or the Manufacturing Associative Part Structure Browser allows you to manage distribution targets for multiple objects simultaneously. It also gives a summary of how many of the selected objects are associated to a given distribution target (All Objects, Some Objects, or No Objects).
While the Associate Distribution Targets and Remove features allow you to add or remove one or more distribution targets from a single object, this feature allows you to add distribution targets to, or remove distribution targets from, multiple objects.
The following table describes the possible states the selected objects can have in relation to a distribution target:
Object State
Description
All Objects
Indicates that all of the selected objects have their data sent from your Windchill solution to the distribution target.
Some Objects
Indicates that some of the selected objects have their data sent from your Windchill solution to the distribution target.
No Objects
Indicates that the selected objects either did not, or currently do not, have their data sent from your Windchill solution to the distribution target.
In the Distribution Targets table that appears in the Update Distribution Targets window, if No Objects appears in the Originally Assigned column, then the distribution target was recently added to the Distribution Targets table for the selected objects.
If No Objects appears in the Currently Assigned column, then the distribution target was recently removed from the Distribution Targets table for the selected objects.
