Removing the Association between a Distribution Target and an Object
The Distribution Targets table allows you to remove a distribution target that is associated with an object. If a previous iteration of the object has already been published to that particular distribution target, removing the target from this list does not remove the object in the target enterprise system. Instead, the next time the object is involved in a publication transaction, the object, as well as any associated objects, such as change notices, documents, operations and sequences, are not published to that distribution target.
*
It is not possible to remove a distribution target from an object when the object has already been successfully published to that target, or a release of the object to that target is still pending.
To remove distribution targets, use the following procedure:
1. On the Distribution Targets table of an object information page select the checkbox next to the distribution targets that are to be removed.
2. From the toolbar select Remove from the Actions menu.
Setting the Preference to Enable the Ability to Associate and Remove Distribution Targets

2. Select ESI > Settings.
3. Click Enable ability to associate and remove distribution targets.
4. Set a preference to specify one or more groups that require access to Associate Distribution Targets and Remove Distribution Targets actions. Separate group names using commas.
