Creating a Repository Type
To create a repository type, use the following procedure:
1. Display the Manage Repository Type page by clicking the corresponding link in the gray navigation bar on the left side of the window.
2. Under the Create Repository Type heading, specify the following information:
In the Repository Type field enter the name of the new repository type. Throughout the Task Delegate Administration utility, this field specifies a hierarchical structure. The value must be formatted as a reverse Internet domain name which is the hierarchical structure that uniquely identifies the repository type, for example: com.MyCompany.windchill.
In the Super Repository Type field select the name of a previously existing repository type from the drop-down list. This will be the super repository type for the new repository type. Specifying a super repository type creates a repository type hierarchy. During delegate lookup, if a delegate is not found in the exact repository type, and the repository type has a super repository type, then the delegate search continues with the super repository type until the delegate is found, or the entire repository type hierarchy is traversed.
In the Description field enter a description for the new repository type.
3. Click the Create button to create the repository type.
