Uploading Software Build Objects
You can use the Software Build Tools commands to upload content to software build objects created and stored in Windchill. You can upload either primary content or add a secondary attachment to a software build object. The Software Build Tools commands can upload content to the Windchill server from one of the following locations:
A file system path that is accessible from the Windchill server
A URL that has an access to the build content
An active FTP server that has an access to the build content
Once the content is uploaded to a software build object in Windchill, you can update it as required.
When you replace the existing primary content or add a new secondary attachment, the version of the software build object is iterated. In the latter case, the existing primary content is retained as is.
You can access the previous versions of the primary content using the Version History table on the History tab on the software build information page.
