Server Installation and Configuration
The Creo Packages server is installed using the bundled PTC Solution Installer (PSI).

The Creo Packages server installation cannot be installed outside of the bundled PSI installer.
The PSI installer is a dynamic installer that offers different installation options based upon the products and features you select.

Configuring Creo Parametric to Work with Creo Packages
To be able to import or export CAD data using Creo Parametric, you must configure Creo Parametric to work with Creo Packages. Complete the following steps:
1. In the wpc_preferences.txt file, do the following:
◦ Comment the line:
proe.start.cmd="proe1.bat 0 -g:no_graphics -i:rpc_input...
◦ Uncomment the line:
proe.start.cmd="parametric.bat 0 -g:no_graphics -i:rpc_input...
2. In the WPCCommon.bat file, change the file path for PRO_COMMON to the Creo Parametric installation directory:
Common Files\<Datecode>
For example, you might set PRO_COMMON as follows:
PRO_COMMON=C:\ptc\p1015\Common Files\F000
