User Roles
The default roles provided with the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module are:
Role
Description
Product Manager
Complete control of assigned products.
Library Manager
Complete control of assigned libraries.
Publications Manager
Control of assigned publications throughout assembly and publishing.
Author
Control of assigned data modules throughout creation and maintenance.
Illustrator
Control of assigned ICNs throughout creation and maintenance.
Reviewer
Permissions to complete the review cycle by completing the verification of data modules and ICNs.

You can use the Configure Actions for Roles action to grant or restrict access to system actions and UI components for each of the roles.
To access the Configure Actions for Roles table, open the Team page for the product or library from the Windchill navigator panel. Select the Configure Actions for Roles action from the Members table to open the Configure Actions for Roles dialog box.
You can set up access to Windchill and general Windchill Service Information Manager actions in this dialog, as well as to Windchill Service Information Manager and Windchill Service Parts actions that are carried out in an S1000D product or library context.
The Windchill Service Information Manager and Windchill Service Parts actions for an S1000D context are controlled by S1000D-specific Windchill License Profiles. For more information, see About the PTC Service Information Manager S1000D License and PTC Service Parts S1000D License Profiles.
