Insert New ICN Metadata File Dialog Box
(S1000D 4.2 products only)
The Insert New ICN Metadata File dialog box allows you to add a new ICN Metadata File (IMF) object to the required location in an information structure.
The dialog box is displayed when you select an Information Control Number (ICN) content holder in the information structure and select Insert New > Insert New ICN Metadata File from the context menu.

The Insert New ICN Metadata File option is not available if an IMF for the ICN already exists.

Set to ICN Metadata
Authoring Language
Select the IMF object’s authoring language (source language) from the drop down list
Template
Select a template for the IMF object from the drop down list
This list displays DDN object templates whose authoring language (PTC_DD_LANGUAGE attribute) matches the default language set for the product, and the value selected in Authoring Language.

Set the default location for storage of the new IMF object:
• Autoselect Folder — store the IMF object in the default folder (S1000D folder).
• Select Folder — choose a non-default location
You can browse to a location by clicking the browse button.

Originator
Displays the originator
The value is extracted from the value set for the ICN.
Responsible Partner Company Code
Select the CAGE code of the required Responsible Partner Company
Security Classification
Displays the security classification
The value is extracted from the value set for the ICN.
Brex Data Module
Select the required BREX data module
The list displays all BREX data modules in the current product.

Creates the new IMF object and inserts into the structure
The dialog box closes.
Cancel
Cancels the current operation and closes the dialog box
