Viewing a Report Instance
From the Windchill Business Reporting details page for a report (accessed from the Report Details field on the report information page) you can navigate through the report history, and view a particular report instance. A report instance is a snapshot of a report executed at a particular time with a particular set of input parameters, including the report output data and any specified formatting. Keep in mind that each time a report is run, it uses the data available at the time of execution and any input parameters provided. This means that the content of individual instances of the same report could be quite different.
*
If you frequently run a particular report with the same set of input parameters and formatting, consider creating a report view. A report view saves the input parameters that you entered, allowing you to run the report at a later time with the same options, without having to specify the same input parameters each time. You can create multiple report views for a single base report.
For more information on report views and report history, see the documentation available from the Windchill Business Reporting user interface.
