Functions

The Functions tab displays the plant-specific functional data objects associated with the view-specific enterprise data objects selected in the upstream or downstream structure pane. The plant-specific functional data objects displayed in this tab depends on the plant configuration specification and plant filter criteria applied on the part structure. For more information on plant filter, see Overview of Plant Configuration Specification and Plant Filter and Filtering Part Structure Using Plant Filter.

By default, the table in this tab displays information about the common attributes of the plant-specific functional data objects. You can customize the table view to also display the soft attributes for each object. The values of soft attributes are editable, but the values of master attributes are not editable.

Use the

action to create plant-specific functional data objects for the selected view-specific enterprise data object. This action opens the New Functional Information window, where you can specify the details for the new plant-specific functional data object. Use the

action to remove existing plant-specific functional data objects from the table. This action removes the association between the plant-specific functional data object and the view-specific enterprise data object.

When an edit action is carried out on an object, the object is checked out automatically. After the required edits are complete, check in the object to save the updates.
