Setting a Sphere Spatial Rule
To define a sphere spatial rule:
1. Select the spatial rule icon on the Visualization tab, then select Set Sphere Spatial Rule.
The Sphere Spatial Rule Coordinates window opens. By default, the radius from the X, Y, and Z values for the sphere’s center is based on the current selection in the Visualization tab..
2. Enter the X, Y, and Z coordinate values for the center point of the sphere in the Center Coordinates input fields. You can enter zero as well as positive and negative real numbers. All three coordinate values are required.
3. Enter a positive real number for the radius of the sphere in the Distance from Center input field.
4. By default, parts that are partially within the spherical volume are included in the structure.
Select Remove items that are partially outside the bounding sphere to include only those parts that are completely within the sphere.
5. Click OK.
The rule is applied to the part structure.

The bounding box for positioning and extended positioning assemblies may appear blank, and they are not used or evaluated.
